Johanna Castellon Vega is a Partner and leads the Litigation Department of Almazan Law. Her practice includes all phases of Federal and State Civil Litigation including real estate and commercial litigation, general liability defense including premises liability, auto negligence, products liability, and employment and labor law defense.
Prior to joining Almazan Law, Mrs. Vega was employed at Perez & Rodriguez P.A. where her practice included the representation of various lenders in real estate and title insurance litigation. Mrs. Vega’s practice also included general liability and employment and labor law defense. Mrs. Vega was also an Assistant Public Defender of the 11th Judicial Circuit in Miami-Dade County, Florida where she represented defendants from the time of arrest through arraignment.
Mrs. Vega earned her Juris Doctorate degree from Stetson University College of Law in 2007 and was admitted to the Florida Bar and Federal Bar for the Southern District of Florida in 2008. During her time at Stetson University, Mrs. Vega completed two Certified Legal Internships at the Broward County State Attorney’s Office and at the Pinellas County Public Defender’s Office. She was also Treasurer of the Hispanic Bar Association and a member of Stetson’s Nationally Ranked Trial Team. As a member of the Stetson Trial Team, Mrs. Vega’s team won a Championship at the Chester Bedell Memorial Mock Trial Competition sponsored by the Florida Bar, and her team was a finalist at the Honorable E. Earle Zehmer Memorial Mock Trial Competition sponsored by the Florida Justice Association.
