Edson Briggs focuses his practice on civil commercial litigation, including real estate, title insurance, construction defect, and property insurance claims. Edson grew up in South Florida and then returned here to practice law, after completing active military service. He served a four-year tour on active duty in the U.S. Army Military Intelligence Corps from 1993 to 1997, and he was honorably discharged as a Captain.
Edson served most of his tour overseas in Panama with the United States Southern Command, where he participated in counterterrorism, counternarcotics and humanitarian operations throughout Latin America and the Caribbean. Edson’s military intelligence training and experience give him a unique additional set of problem-solving tools outside those acquired in legal education. Outside of law practice,
Edson is married with two sons and is an avid triathlete and runner. Highlights of his extensive race history include the Ironman Florida triathlon, the Marine Corps Marathon, the New York City Marathon, and he has completed the Miami Marathon and Half Marathon numerous times. He is a dedicated reader of military history, and enjoys participating in Scouting, sports, and community service activities with his sons.
